The PSSA is the new trade association for companies involved in the supply of equipment and services designed to provide the highest levels of physical protection for sites and their perimeters from terrorist or criminal attack that involves the use of extreme force or explosives.

United Kingdom counter terrorism strategy has been called into question, just two months before London plays host to a high level gathering of counter terrorism officials and specialists from around the world. In a damning report published by the influential Home Affairs Committee, the government has been accused of institutional inertia over terrorism.

The attempted downing of Northwest Airlines (NWA) flight 253 as it approached Detroit Metro airport on Christmas Day has exposed a fatal flaw in US intelligence gathering and dissemination and renewed calls for greater levels of information sharing amongst agencies nationally and internationally.
