The UK has recently seen a increase number of cases where data protection and security has been breached. This has resulted in huge financial losses in addition to public embarrassment caused when the news comes to the surface.
Research by the Ponemon Institute found that the average total cost per incident was more than £1.4 million. Former MSN exec takes on child protection role

The former head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing at MSN has joined the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre to champion its work in making online environments safer for children and young people.

Natalie Mead brings 17 years of experience of the online industry and commercial marketing to the law enforcement agency when she takes up her post.
