CBRNE Detection and Protection
CBRN capability remains the next evolutionary step in the terrorist arsenal and a potent nightmare scenario for counter-terrorism professionals. Learn how well prepared we are to meet this most terrifying of threats and what challenges might remain.

Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
Ensuring military and law enforcement personnel have the right protective equipment when meeting the range of threats they face is both a legal and moral responsibility. In uncertain times when the type of threat is unclear, cross functionality is a de-rigor safety requirement.

Perimeter Protection & Intrusion Detection
The outer perimeter of any facility represents the first line of defence against attack and effective perimeter security and barrier intrusion detection solutions should form the first layer in an outside in strategy to your overall security plan to protect core assets and personnel.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) & Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD)
EOD/IEDD operations remain one of the most challenging and dangerous of fields, requiring a skills set across the gamut of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) threats. Accurate detection and identification is a crucial prerequisite to safe EOD/IEDD.

Building & Facilities Protection
The terrorist strike against Glasgow Airport in 2007 emphasised the need to better protect building and facilities. Structural reinforcement and external blast protection measures are obvious prerequisites, but internal layout considerations are no less important in protecting your most valuable personnel assets.

CCTV & Surveillance
Surveillance is a critical tool in the counter-terrorism arsenal and advanced surveillance technologies deliver ever increasing flows of information. We examine the state-of-the-art capability in the fields of CCTV, ANPR, IP, WiFi and Bluetooth surveillance techniques and look to future methods required to stay ahead of the game in combating terrorism.

Information & Communication Systems
Getting the right information to the right people during a crisis demands a secure communications infrastructure capable of delivering in the most demanding circumstances, together with a robust data integrity checking and asset tracking capability in order to ensure business continuity.

Human Factors & Training
Human factors remain perhaps the biggest issue in the delivery of effective security controls. Careful personnel selection combined with a thorough and on-going training and performance monitoring regime is vital, whilst good communication and motivational skills play a key role in mitigating human factor issues at the point of delivery.
